I've been a creative person since I can remember. I mean, I have a degree in Graphic Design - granted I'm not using it - it is just collecting dust on the wall. Occasionally I do some fun stuff just for me. I just recently got burned pretty bad by a guy who wanted me to do a design. I did it for him - then he didn't use it but still refuses to pay me. This is why I stick with my current job - Front Desk. I love it!

I've been painting and enjoying life. I'm getting married very soon and I'm so excited!

That sucks about the non payment thing. As a rule of thumb I never work for free. I always get half of the total price of the job upfront. Does it turn off a lot of people for wanting to use me because of my terms and conditions... absolutely, but at the same time it forces them to play ball and treat me like a professional instead of investing a bunch of work in for someone to change their mind later and not pay. I recommend doing up a contract for future clients. It helps out in the long run and it holds both parties accountable in case one fails to deliver.
